When picking out plants for your window box, be sure to choose a good mix of flowers and foliage. Also, select some plants that will trail over the front of the window box, some of medium height, and some tall plants. This will give you the best variety.
Make sure to note where your window box is located. Is it in the sun most of the day, or is it generally in the shade? Also, make sure that you choose some annuals, and some perennials. This will help you maintain consistency year-round, while having a treat for certain seasons of the year.
